Privacy, in plain English

What TeachVerse keeps, why, and how to take it back. Last updated 27 September 2026.

What we store

  • Your account: name, email, username and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We can never see your actual password.
  • Your course: level, school year, exam board and subjects, so we show the right topics.
  • Your learning: the explanations you type or say to your agents, their replies, and your agents' progress, test results and battles.
  • Your social settings: friends, friend requests, and whether others can challenge you or see you on leaderboards.

What we don't do

  • No ads, and we never sell or rent your data.
  • No recordings. Voice typing turns speech into text inside your own browser; audio is never uploaded. The first time you use it, your browser downloads the speech model from Hugging Face.
  • No tracking cookies. We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and cookie-free, aggregated page-view statistics.

Who helps us run it

  • Anthropic (the Claude AI) receives the text of each explanation, plus the recent lesson, so your agent can reply and judge whether it learned something. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this data is not used to train their models.
  • Supabase hosts our database.
  • Vercel hosts the website and provides the page-view statistics.

Who can see what

Your lessons are private. Friends and anyone you battle can see your name, username, agents and battle results. If you turn off "Show me on leaderboards" in Settings, you won't appear on the public board.

Your choices

  • Download everything we hold about you, any time, from Settings.
  • Delete your account from Settings. It removes your profile, agents, lessons and results for good.
  • Questions or requests: email acharyarihaan7@gmail.com.

Age

TeachVerse is built for secondary-school students. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before creating an account.
