Terms of Service

The rules for using TeachVerse, in plain English. Last updated 17 October 2026.

1. Who we are

TeachVerse (teachverse.app) is an online study service for IGCSE students, provided by Ramya Shripathi, trading as TeachVerse (Shriram Spandhana, Off Wind Tunnel Road, Challaghatta, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560037, India). In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Ramya Shripathi, trading as TeachVerse, and "you" means the person using it. Contact us at hello@teachverse.app.

2. Using TeachVerse

  • You need an account to use most of TeachVerse. Keep your password private; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian agrees to you using TeachVerse, and to any purchase made for you. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must create or approve the account.
  • Be decent to other students. No abusive names, cheating the Arena, scraping the service, trying to break its security, or using it to send spam.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

3. Study content and AI

  • Lessons, notes, flashcards, quizzes and practice papers are written to follow the published syllabuses, but they are study aids. We don't promise any exam result.
  • Your AI pupil and the "Stuck?" help are generated by AI and can occasionally be wrong. Check anything important against your teacher or textbook.
  • TeachVerse is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cambridge Assessment International Education or Pearson Edexcel.
  • You own what you write. You let us store and process it to run the service, as described in our Privacy notice.
  • The TeachVerse app, design, characters and our own content belong to us. Practice papers you make are for your personal study, not for resale.

4. Free and Pro plans

  • The Free plan costs nothing and has daily and weekly limits shown in the app.
  • TeachVerse Pro is a subscription: $8 a month or $59 a year (in US dollars; ₹799 a month or ₹5,899 a year in Indian rupees for customers in India; local taxes may be added at checkout). It removes the Free limits as described on the Pro page.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Plan & billing; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
  • If we change the price, we will tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.
  • Refunds are covered by our Refund policy.

5. Payments (Paddle)

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payments are also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.

6. Availability and changes

  • We work to keep TeachVerse running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
  • We may improve, change or remove features. If a change takes away something a paying Pro member relies on, you can cancel and ask for a pro-rata refund of the unused time.
  • We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting it removes your data as described in the Privacy notice. Cancel an active Pro subscription first so it doesn't renew.

8. Liability

TeachVerse is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for exam results, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections your local consumer law gives you.
